AYIA TRIADA CAVE

We are pleased to announce that the Eforia for Paleoanthropology and Speleology from Athens in collaboration with SEEP will begin the excavations of the Ayia Triada Cave on Monday, June 18. This season the project will be conducted on a much smaller scale than originally intended, mostly due to the lack of funding. This is why our main current goal is to preliminarily examine the stratigraphy in the cave to prepare better for next year when larger scale excavations will hopefully take place. The project is directed by Dr. Fanis Mavridis (Eforia for Speleology) and Zarko Tankosic (SEEP).
